Most companies have billions of files in their SharePoint and file shares. Often these files contain redundant, obsolete, and trivial data (ROT). These billions of useless files take up a lot of space, increasing storage costs and privacy security risks and slowing down servers. In extreme cases, up to 80% of enterprise data is considered ROT.
